CIAgent is a tool for monitoring the status of mission-critical network components, hardware/operating system components, and software applications. CIAgent provides an "early warning" system for both detecting problems and notifying operations personnel. Based on SNMP and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) documents, CIAgent provides a standards-based monitoring and control interface that can be accessed via a Web-based interface (DR-Web) or from a management application like EnterPol®, HP OpenView™ Network Node Manager™, CA eHealth®, CA SPECTRUM®, and others.
In short, CIAgent helps detect, analyze, and resolve problems with systems before customers and users notice a service outage.
